Just Between Friends is coming to Delaware!

This is so exciting!  Just Between Friends is coming to Delaware!!  What is the big deal??  I'll explain.

Just Between Friends (JBF) is an established and well organized consignment sale franchise.  Before today's announcement, the closest location to me was Glen Mills, PA (approximately a 45 minute drive for me).  My experience with consignment sales has only been with one organization and while the payout is higher, there are some limitations compared to JBF. Let's compare "my sale" to JBF.

My sale . . .

1. Accepts cash only and no receipts (JBF offers credit card and receipts)
2. Open to the public for 4 hours (JBF is a 2-3 day event, up to 8 hours a day).
3. Does not offer a discount option (JBF offers 50% off on the last sale day). 
4. Sellers must work set-up night and sale day (JBF requires 2 hours only if you have more than 300 non-donatable items). 
5. Venue space is limited. (JBF rents large venues with great lighting). 
6. Offers two sales a year. (JBF has multiple locations/sales and your tags work at each one)

After my last consignment sale experience, I decided to test Just Between Friends this year at their Glen Mills, PA location.  Even though their payout is less than what I would receive at the sale I currently consign with, I may possibly end up selling more and at the end of a sale, I want to come home with as little inventory as possible.

Now, with the arrival of the Delaware location (only a 20 minute commute), I can theoretically do both sales with little extra work.  Two opportunities, just weeks apart. Oooh, the strategies I get to test. Happy New Year to me!! (I wonder if there is a rack rental opportunity with them? I know, that's pushing it, but . . .)
